Lately, I've been perusing antique shops for vintage crystal jewelry, in the hopes of making something that even slightly resembles a Tom Binns piece. Surprised am I when, upon at arriving at my grandmothers, I am greeted with a plethora of vintage crystal necklaces-all in fantastic condition and just begging to be deconstructed and combined.

I piled three on rather haphazardly, and they added just a little something to an otherwise so-so outfit.

the deets: jeans: j brand, "love" tank: Norma Kamali, blazer: Norma Kamali, flats: Miu Miu, sunnies: LANVIN, necklaces: vintaggeeee
I'm going to an event this weekend, and really, reallllyyy want something new to wear. Though I most likely won't get anything, it's fun to dream anyway, and what theme to play around with than luxe-bohemian. I think this has always been my go-to look for the past several years; but lately, I've bene turning to my black bandage skirt, one of my many blazers, and my Tribs or my Guccis. I think this weekend I'll change it up...I envision caftans, faux-fur bests, crystal jewelry and flowy, sheer fabrics for spring...something along the lines of, say, this....

Sort of uneventful, yet really pleasant day....spent eating copious amounts of artichoke pasta (drenched in homemade pesto sauce), with grilled halibut...and fudge brownies for dessert. I also made an Easter Egg hunt for my doggie (Chloe)...she is such a genius and found each and every one (plus, broke them open and got the treats out of the center). I also finally saw Doubt...highly recommend, Meryl Streep & Philip Seymour Hoffman are terrific actors.
outfit::::jean shorts: urbn, tank: french connection, capelet: topshop (from london like four years ago), fringed sandals: unknown, from Spain, beads: vintage, sunnies: LANVIN.
...that I'm borderline obsessed with this mask???

I envision it worn with a grey suit, or maybe even a tux. Even cooler-a ballgown. It's just begging to be used in an editorial.
Sooo weird, I know :)
A couple choice pieces of inspiration to brighten your Monday....
The Selby is basically my favorite website ever. In addition to my love of fashion, I have a huge love for interiors, and there is no better site for decorating inspiration.
These latest pics from Collette in Paris are so ridiculous:

ummm...bones in the place of table legs?? Why haven't I seen this before now???
I must have that wallpaper.
These are kind of old news (I noticed that Dave Grohl's wife wore them to the Grammy's), but I just cannot get them out of my head. I love Lanvin so much, particularly the accessories, and something about the juxtaposition of the satin and the wood just does it for me...I've always wanted a big, driftwood dining table to put only really fancy china on (that whole high-low thing, you know?)

Lastly, I've always had a pretty big crush on the Givenchy Nightingale, but this latest iteration (in highlighter-yellow, with some radical stitching)is giving me full on buterflies. Barneys.com is stupid and won't let you actually save images to your computer, so click the link if you are so inclined:

from GAWKER.com::::
Images of the May Vogue "multi-model," foldout cover have been leaked...and they are quite gorgeous.
Though you can't see any clothes (Vogue is a fashion mag, after all), I'm loving the combo of Lara Stone's Hutton-ish gap, Raquel Zimmerman's slightly flushed cheeks, and Natasha Poly's gorgeous mane. I also can't help but notice...Liya Kebede is becoming quite popular these days, no?
